When starting Colon Hydrotherapy, it’s recommended to begin with a series of sessions scheduled close together. The colon is approximately five feet long, and just one foot of it can hold up to ten pounds of accumulated waste! If your body is experiencing a higher level of toxicity, additional sessions may be needed to help clear out impacted buildup. Most clients begin their wellness journey with 4–6 sessions over a 2–3 week period for the best results.
How many sessions will I need?
In the days leading up to your session, gently increase your water intake and focus on fresh juices, smoothies, and warm soups to help soften and hydrate the colon. Please avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours prior and limit caffeine on the day of your appointment. Arrive on an empty stomach, with no food within 2 hours and no liquids within 30 minutes of your session.
We highly recommend supportive supplements such as CellCore’s Bowel Mover, electrolytes, or our “Divine Trio” protocol for those experiencing chronic constipation. These are available in-clinic or can be shipped to you in advance.
To preserve a calm, grounded space, please arrive no more than 5 minutes early and come alone unless medically necessary (clients under 18 must have a parent present). Complete your electronic consent form prior to arrival, as we’re unable to begin without it.
We’re located on the top floor at the end of the hallway. Just follow the essential oil aroma! If the door is locked, simply have a seat and your practitioner will greet you shortly. A handicap-accessible ramp is available at the back of the building.
If you have any questions beforehand, we’re here to support you with care and intention.
How should I prep before my colonic?
A colonic should never be painful. You may experience mild cramping or pressure as trapped gas and impacted waste begin to break down and move through the colon. Once these blockages are released, a sense of relief typically follows. As the waste becomes rehydrated, it passes more easily, making the process increasingly comfortable.
Do colonics hurt?
How you feel after your session often reflects your overall health and how much stagnation your body is ready to release. A colonic can gently loosen trapped waste, toxins, and gas that may have been sitting in the colon for years. Some clients feel lighter, clearer, and energized right away, while others may experience temporary detox (or “die-off”) symptoms as the body processes what was stirred up. These may include fatigue, headache, body aches, mild nausea, brain fog, mood shifts, or temporary gas and bloating. If they occur, they’re typically short-lived and simply a sign that your body is clearing and recalibrating. As always, we’re here to support you if you have questions during your post-session experience.
What can I expect after my colonic?
Hydration is essential. For the next 24–48 hours, focus on drinking plenty of purified water and consider adding clean, non-toxic electrolytes to replenish minerals, support detox pathways, and prevent dehydration. We carry high-quality electrolytes in the clinic (free from sugars, dyes, and artificial ingredients) and you’re always welcome to grab some if you didn’t after your session. We also recommend eating a protein-rich meal following your colonic to help stabilize blood sugar, support detoxification, and aid your body in rebuilding and restoring.
What should I eat and drink after my colonic?
Rest and nervous system support are key. Taking magnesium and soaking in an Epsom salt bath can help relax the body, ease muscle tension, relieve any lingering cramping, and gently support ongoing detoxification. We also carry non-toxic bath salts and detox soaks in the clinic, thoughtfully chosen to promote mineral replenishment and gentle detox support, without added fragrances or harsh chemicals.
How can I further support detox after my session?
The biotoxin binder you receive after your colonic acts like a sponge, absorbing toxins, waste, and debris loosened during your session so they can be safely eliminated rather than reabsorbed. Since we’re constantly exposed to toxins from food, water, air, and the environment, taking a binder daily (not just after a colonic) can help reduce your toxic load and support your body’s natural detox pathways.
Binders are available at the clinic or can be ordered online through CellCore Biosciences using our practitioner code: nyrOLjTp. Follow the instructions provided, or ask us for guidance on dosing.
What is the biotoxin binder and why should I take it?
Colon hydrotherapy can stir up trapped gas, which may cause bloating, pressure, or stomach cramps. If this happens, we often recommend a follow-up colonic within 24–48 hours. Once things are loosened, release is much easier and relief is usually fast. If your first session felt uncomfortable, it’s typically due to significant trapped gas, not because anything went wrong. A follow-up session done soon after can help release it more comfortably.
Why am I experiencing gas, bloating, or cramping after my colonic?
For the best results, colonics are most effective when done in a “stack,” meaning sessions scheduled close together so waste doesn’t have time to resettle. Our general guideline is 1–2 sessions per week for 4–6 weeks. Being consistent, especially at the start, helps you feel better faster. Once things are loosened, release is easier, more comfortable, and cleansing is deeper. We also offer package discounts, which are the most cost-effective way to complete a colonic stack and see lasting results. You can book directly on our website or call/text the clinic at (262) 546-1940 for guidance on choosing the right package and scheduling your sessions. Think of it like cleaning a very dirty room. It’s much easier to keep clearing things out once everything has already been stirred up.
How often should I get a colonic?
It is impossible to become dependent on colonics. We use nothing but filtered water during our colonic hydrotherapy sessions. In fact, colonics help strengthen the muscles in the colon wall. This will help the peristalsis movement and you will be able to have more bowel movements on your own after the old matter is released.
Will my body become dependent on colonics?
Coffee enemas are a powerful way to enhance the detox benefits of your colonic, particularly when added to your next session. While colonics focus on clearing waste from the colon, coffee enemas specifically support the liver and gallbladder, helping your body process and release toxins more efficiently.
Benefits may include:
- Increased bile flow and liver detoxification
- Support for toxin and heavy metal elimination
- Reduced inflammation
- Improved digestion
- Relief from headaches and brain fog
- Increased energy and mental clarity
- Nervous system support
By opening detox pathways, coffee enemas help ensure toxins are removed rather than recirculated. Many clients notice a deeper sense of relief, clarity, and overall wellness when pairing them with regular colonics. If you’re interested, we recommend
adding a coffee enema to your next session. We’ll guide you through the process and answer any questions.
What is a coffee enema?
